From a single seed, to an ever expanding tree of skills and knowledge…

How it all began….

Loredana Tomasello graduated from National University of Health Sciences for Massage Therapy in 2007. She began her massage therapy career working for chiropractors and physical therapists focusing mostly on sports and orthopedic clients. Loredana quickly discovered that she enjoyed working with prenatal and postnatal clients the most. She began working with pregnant clients and gained experience in the pre/post natal field; centering her continuing education in fertility, pregnancy and pain management during labor.

In 2015, Loredana became an approved provider with NCBTMB and began creating continuing education courses for massage therapists. These courses include: Fundamentals of Pregnancy Massage, Intro to Hot Stone Therapy, Spa Treatments in Massage Practice and Foam Roller Basics for Therapists.

After the birth of her son in September of 2016; and having a successful but challenging road with breastfeeding. Loredana felt compelled to expand her knowledge and skills to help other postpartum nursing mothers. She began her studies towards becoming a lactation counselor. Over the next two years she completed her training and is currently working towards her IBCLC licensure.

In 2017, Loredana completed her training to become an infant massage instructor and began offering private and small group classes to new and existing parents.

Loredana’s passion working with pregnant clients and new parents led to further interests in related fields. In early 2018, she attended DONA’s birthing doula training and DONA’s postpartum doula training. She quickly began attending births and supporting families at both hospital and home birth settings. As well as assisting and supporting families as a postpartum doula.

In June of 2018, Loredana founded Nurtured Pathways as a way to combine all of her services into one central business. Currently Nurtured Pathways offers massage, doula services, infant massage classes and other workshops.

Loredana plans to expand her team and array of services; to include lactation counseling, other parent classes and much more.
